Here’s my confession about how I failed in my business during the onset of COVID-19. It’s not a pretty story …

I have a confession to make. I let the COVID crisis run me off my path for about a week and a half. I thought I had strong processes. I thought my time blocking was solid. And yet I let it all go out the window at a moment’s notice.

It’s so easy to get sucked into the endless social media scroll — scrutinizing the careless sharing of misinformation and looking for the shred of silver lining. And then there were my kids at home. And my sister had come for a visit only to have us all crammed into the house with nothing to do and nowhere to go in an attempt to do our part to flatten the curve.

I spent the week basically succumbing to my overwhelm when I really thought I had grown out of that. So, what am I doing about it? I’m refocusing, regrouping and getting my ass back to work. And what have I learned from this? Well, I’ve learned that my time blocking and work rituals are not as strong as I thought they were. So, I’m re-working my time blocks on my calendar to be a bit more specific and to allow for more breaks so they don’t feel quite so rigid but also so they enable me to realistically stick to it.

But, what’s more important, is that I’m coming back to my core work of creating content to guide you, interior designers, in the areas of your businesses where you feel unsure or like you don’t quite have the skills needed to succeed such as — goal setting, productivity, marketing, just to name a few.

I’m always asking and always looking for input on what you want training in the most. There’s a link where you’re watching this video to a very short survey where you can tell me exactly what type of content you need me to create to help you in your business. Please take just a few seconds to respond so I can help you directly.
